BooknTalk hosts video itself, and for most people that is the end of the question, nothing to connect and nothing to pay for. But a practice already standardised on Google Workspace has reasons of its own: recordings that land in the right Drive, a domain your clients recognise in the link, retention rules somebody else signs off.
So the meeting can be moved onto your own Google account without moving anything else. The booking, the payment and the page stay here; only the room changes hands.
The appointment is created on your calendar with a conference request attached, and Google answers with the link. That is why no Google Meet permission is ever requested, the calendar write access you already granted covers it.
The meeting belongs to your Google account and you are its organiser. Whatever your Workspace allows, recording, your own admin controls, your own retention, applies, because it is your meeting.
Each team member picks where their own meetings are held. One colleague can be on their Google Meet while another stays on BooknTalk video, and neither choice disturbs the other.
If Google cannot be reached when a booking is made, the meeting falls back to BooknTalk’s own video rather than going out without a link. A client who has just paid is never sent a confirmation with nowhere to join.
This needs calendar write access, without it there is no entry to mint the link on, and the option is not offered. There is no Teams, Whereby or dial-in number, and we do not reach into your recordings, transcripts or Meet settings; whatever Google itself offers is what you get. An in-person event gets no link from either service, by design.
